New ZealandSuggested serve:
North Canterbury Gin is a small-batch spirit that captures the landscape and botanical richness of New Zealand’s South Island. It was the very first gin ever crafted by winemaker Mark, whose inspiration came from the coastal cliffs of Taylor’s Mistake – the place where the idea for this gin was born.
This artisan gin blends bright citrus and floral notes with a soft, earthy base. The result is a clean, expressive flavour profile that is both refined and unmistakably Kiwi. Locally sourced and wild-foraged botanicals are steeped three times to preserve the essence of the open Canterbury plains.
Mark, a seasoned winemaker from the North Canterbury region, brought his knowledge of flavour and terroir to the world of gin. What started as an experiment became a signature creation – and remains a strong favourite to this day.

North Canterbury Gin is made in extremely small batches – just 125 bottles were produced in 2022. With its delicate profile, this gin is best stored out of direct sunlight to preserve its bright and nuanced character.
Enjoy North Canterbury Gin with a quality tonic, garnished with citrus peel or a sprig of bay leaf. It also works beautifully in floral-forward cocktails or on its own over ice.
