Inspired by the landscapes of Arthur’s Pass and created using locally foraged botanicals, this small-batch gin captures the character of a native mountain beech forest in liquid form.
Produced using pure Cave Stream water and carefully selected regional ingredients, this unique expression celebrates exploration, craftsmanship and the remarkable natural environment of New Zealand’s South Island.
This special release was created when the Elsewhere and Juniper Collective families came together near Cave Stream in Arthur’s Pass to explore, forage and experiment with local botanicals.
The project combined a shared passion for gin, nature and discovery, resulting in a spirit that reflects both the landscape and the collaborative spirit behind its creation.
The partnership also highlights the growing craft gin culture of New Zealand and the creativity that continues to drive it forward.
Arthur’s Pass is known for its dramatic mountain scenery, native forests and unique alpine environment. These surroundings provided both the inspiration and many of the ingredients used in the recipe.
Pure water sourced from Cave Stream formed the foundation of the distillation, helping create a gin that reflects the freshness and natural character of the region.
The resulting spirit evokes the atmosphere of a mountain beech forest, combining earthy, herbal and subtly sweet elements in a balanced and expressive profile.
