The core ingredients in Indlovu Original Gin are sourced from elephant dung – carefully washed, dried, and analysed to extract usable botanicals. These wild botanicals are then distilled to create a smooth, earthy and complex gin with a distinct African identity.
One of the key botanicals is the prickly pear cactus fruit, a delicacy for elephants. Known for its rich content of polyphenols, minerals and vitamins, the fruit adds a soft, fruity note to the gin. In traditional medicine, prickly pear has been used to treat inflammation and hangovers, now it brings character to your glass.
