Some spirits are born from recipes. Buenos Aires Gin was born from a conversation. A late-night discussion between two brothers that ended, as it always did, with the same question: “So, what do we do?”

Brothers Bruno and Franco Moretti, born in Cipolletti, Río Negro, and raised in Buenos Aires, are entrepreneurs by nature. One a computer scientist, the other a molecular biologist, both musicians, both artists, both restless. In early 2016, they decided it was time to build something together. Something that would combine their professions, their passions and their relentless curiosity.

The answer was gin.

An Obsession That Became a Distillery

What followed was months of intense dedication, studying distillation processes, running countless experiments, testing botanical combinations until the balance was exactly right. The result was Buenos Aires Gin, crafted at Destilería Moretti, one of Argentina’s first micro distilleries and launched into the high-end spirits segment of the Argentine market.

It did not take long for the world to notice.

Buenos Aires Gin is a true London Dry gin in its purest expression. Juniper berries lead the botanical profile with unmistakable clarity, delivering the gin’s signature dry texture and a pleasant finish of citrus and gentle earthiness. Buenos Aires Gin has been awarded Bronze at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition in 2019, Best Contemporary Gin at the World Gin Awards in 2020, and Silver at the World Gin Awards in 2024, recognised as one of the finest gins produced in Spain.

In 2023, the brand was named Icons of Gin at the World Gin Awards in England, winning Campaign Innovator and receiving Highly Commended for Brand Innovator. A testament to the creativity and vision that drives everything Bruno and Franco do.
