Manifest Barreled Gin – Bold, Balanced & Barrel-Kissed

Barreled Gin is still a relatively new category in the spirits world — but one that’s full of character. Inspired by the bottles in their own home bars, the founders of Manifest Distilling saw an opportunity to create something bold and different without the years of aging required for traditional whisky.

A Category Still in the Making

Barreled Gin offers craft distillers room to experiment — layering botanical complexity with subtle oak influence. While many distillers treat it as a limited release, This Barreled Gin is here to stay. However, in true small batch fashion, each batch will vary slightly, giving every release its own signature twist.

Batch #1 – Limited to 380 Bottles

The first release began with Manifest’s USDA Organic Gin, aged for six months in 10-year-old Manifest Whiskey Project bourbon barrels. Simultaneously, 30 gallons were aged for 30 days in a new, charred American oak barrel. The two were then fractionally blended to create a spirit with surprising balance and depth.

Light in Color, Rich in Flavour

Despite its light golden hue, the gin from the bourbon barrel developed remarkable flavour — proof that colour doesn’t always equal complexity. The 30-day batch contributed rich tones of oak and vanilla. The result? A beautifully balanced, barrel-aged gin with softness, spice and a unique botanical backbone.

This barrel-aged release represents more than just a category experiment — it’s a reflection of Manifest Distilling’s commitment to creativity and small batch precision. By using two distinct barrel types and carefully blending the results, the team was able to explore how time and wood can reshape a gin’s identity. The warmth of bourbon meets the brightness of botanicals, resulting in a smooth, layered spirit that stands out in both flavour and philosophy.
